Let the Count Down Begin!

We have bought our tickets! We are actually leaving. After many months of waiting, postponing and planning the day is here. We leave from Eugene on July 28th. Which is 23 days from now in case you want to count...

We are a mix of emotions at the moment. We have been running around getting lots of details taken care of and making sure that we are ready to go. It is pretty amazing, a few weeks ago I was still figuring out how get insurance, how to get our physicals and a will. Now we have most of those things finished and we are packing our bags. The Lord has been faithful to answer our many requests!


We are still at about 92% of our funding, meaning we could use $300 more dollars a month to have all of our needs meet. It has been a thrilling last month as we have gone from 70 to 90% of our funding! Thank you for partnering with on this initial part of the journey! We could not be where we are now if it wasn’t for the prayers, gifts and encouragement of so many.


It is hard to not use a lot of exclamation marks as I write! But this is a blog post I have been waiting to write for a long time. It hasn’t really sunk in that we are really going. At the moment our focus is on getting ready to leave, which is the hard part, but at the same time I am very much looking forward to being back.
